SQT-Bio needling
Not all microneedling uses needles. SQT Bio Microneedling harnesses something far more extraordinary: microscopic fibres harvested from sea sponge, one of the most ancient and intelligent organisms on earth. These fibres, called Spongilla spicules, are ultrafine siliceous structures extracted from freshwater sea sponge. When applied to the skin they create thousands of microscopic channels, just as traditional microneedling does, but without a needle in sight.

How it works

The Spongilla spicules are applied and gently massaged into the skin, where they create thousands of tiny channels in the surface. This part of the treatment takes around 60 minutes and is well tolerated by most clients, with minimal discomfort throughout.
02 -A mild healing response is triggered
Those micro-channels prompt a controlled inflammatory response, which is exactly what we want. It signals to the body that the skin needs attention. Growth factors are released, collagen and elastin production begins to increase, and the skin starts its renewal process from within.
03 -Bioactive serums go deeper

Is it painful?
There’s no numbing involved, and no needles. However, you may feel a prickly or tingling sensation during and after the treatment as the spicules enter the skin. This is completely normal and a sign the treatment is working.
What’s the downtime like?
Downtime is a couole of days.
You may experience:
You cant wear makeup, spf or do skincare for 2 days whilst the spicules do their thing. We dont want to wash them off!
Tingling or warmth for 12–24 hours
Dryness, flaking or rough texture for 2–4 days
A sandpaper-like feel as the spicules gradually release
It’s important not to rub, exfoliate, or wear heavy makeup during the first few days to allow the skin to renew properly.
How many treatments will I need?
The great thing about sqt-bio needling is you can just have 1. But a course gives amazing fresh results. We usually recommend a course of 4–6 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart, depending on your skin condition and goals. You’ll start seeing smoother, clearer, brighter skin within just one or two sessions, with the best long-term results appearing after a full course.
Can I do this if I have acne or sensitive skin?
Yes, it’s incredibly effective for active acne and congestion, especially when paired with extractions. However, if your skin is highly reactive, barrier-compromised, or inflamed, we may recommend building strength through customised facials before beginning.
