RF Facials
Our RF, Apollo Quattro machine earned its place in our line-up because it does exactly what we believe in: real, lasting skin health, not quick fixes that fade. With no downtime and no discomfort, it suits every client at every stage of their skin journey, quietly calming inflammation and supporting the skin rather than stressing it. It’s also a bit of an overachiever, making everything it’s paired with work harder and smarter, which is exactly why it’s such a natural fit here at Shine. On its own it’s a stunning facial, and soon you’ll see it on our enhancement menu too, layered into other treatments to take your results even further.
How it works
01 – Radiofrequency (RF)
RF heats the deep layers of your skin, not the surface, to switch on collagen and elastin production. Your skin does the work. RF just gives it a reason to. The payoff builds over weeks: smoother texture, softer lines, and a lift that comes from within your own skin.
02 – Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)
Like a workout for your face, EMS gently tones the muscles beneath the skin. It helps lift and define the jawline, cheeks and eye area, working beautifully alongside the RF.
03 – Infusion therapy
Your skin is a barrier. That’s its job. Infusion therapy works with it, delivering the serums used in your facial past the surface so they land where they’re needed. Completely comfortable, and it turns a good facial into one that actually reaches the layers that matter.
The Treatments
01 – RF Contour Facial – 30 minutes | $250
Our lift and tighten facial. Using RF and muscle tightening, this treatment targets areas of laxity and rebuilds
firmness from within, fully customised to what your skin needs on the day. Best experienced as a course for visible, lasting results.
02 – Sculpt and Glow – 60 minutes | $350
Everything from RF Contour, plus infusion therapy. Once your skin is lifted and tightened, we send targeted actives deep into the skin, chosen for your concern on the day, whether that's dullness, pigmentation, congestion or dehydration. A cooling finish calms everything back down before you leave.
03 – Sculpt and Glow Ritual – 80 minutes | $410
The full experience. RF, muscle tightening and infusion, followed by massage and LED to finish. Melt into the
treatment bed and let your skin do the work while you do absolutely nothing at all, tighter, glowing and completely relaxed, all in the one facial.

What is an RF facial?
RF stands for radiofrequency. It delivers controlled heat into the deeper layers of your skin, which tightens it straight away and stimulates new collagen and elastin over the following weeks. At Shine we pair it with muscle tightening, infusion therapy and a cooling finish, so one treatment works on your skin’s structure, the muscle underneath and its ability to hold hydration.
What concerns does it treat?
Laxity and loss of firmness through the jawline, cheeks and neck, fine lines, dullness, and the general “not quite how I remember looking” feeling that tends to arrive in your 30s and 40s. With the infusion step added, we can also target pigmentation, congestion, dehydration and texture in the same visit.
How many treatments will I need?
For visible, lasting results we recommend a course of six sessions, one to two weeks apart, then maintenance every four to six weeks. You will usually notice some tightening after your first treatment, with the collagen response building over roughly eight to twelve weeks.
How is it different to a regular facial?
A traditional facial works mostly on the surface, so results are lovely but temporary. RF works on collagen, elastin and muscle tone underneath, which is what actually creates lift. You still get the glow, it just keeps building over the weeks afterwards.
Which facial should I choose?
If you want lift and tightening without the fuss, the RF Contour Facial covers the heat and muscle work in 30 minutes. If you have a specific skin concern as well, Sculpt and Glow adds infusion therapy to treat it in the same appointment. If you want the results and the wind down, the Sculpt and Glow Ritual adds massage and LED. None is better than the others, they are built for different needs and different afternoons.
Does it hurt?
No. Most clients describe it as a warm, deep massage, with the muscle tightening feeling like a gentle tapping or flexing under the skin. No numbing cream is needed and there is nothing to brace yourself for.
Is there any downtime?
None. You may have some mild warmth or a light flush for an hour or so, which the cooling step is designed to settle. Skin looks fresher immediately, so it suits a lunch break or the morning of an event.
What device do you use?
We use the Apollo Quattro, a clinically proven and TGA-approved tool that delivers precise depth control and exceptional results with minimal trauma to the skin.
Can I have it before an event?
Yes, and it is one of the best treatments for it. Because there is no peeling or downtime, you can book anywhere from the day before to the morning of. For a bigger occasion, a course beforehand will give you more noticeable lift.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Yes. RF is not light based, so unlike some laser treatments it is safe across all Fitzpatrick skin types with no risk of pigment change. There are some conditions we need to work around, including pregnancy, pacemakers or implanted electrical devices, metal implants in the treatment area and active skin infections, which is why every new client starts with a consultation.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Yes, and most clients do. RF sits well alongside dermal needling, skin peels and injectables, we just space them appropriately so your skin is not doing too much at once. Your therapist will map out an order that makes sense for your concerns and your calendar.
